Animals, which are raised to be slaughtered and eaten, have to consume tons of soy to gain weight rapidly. 80% of soy which is cultivated ends up in feeding troughs of cows, pigs and chickens which is why 113 millions of hectares of rainforest are deforested to cultivate monocultures of soy. Reflection on People's Climate March
The People's Climate March was actually my first march ever, and I'm so glad it was my first! There's so many things I learned from the march, but what I'm going to take away from this is to stand up for what I believe in. More than 200,000 people and I just in D.C. took it to be streets and peacefully demonstrated that people need to understand how important climate change is as a moral and environmental issue that needs to be dealt with.
